Psychotherapy & Meditation

About

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Rhode Island. My clinical background is with young adults and adults in college counseling centers, community mental health and hospital settings and private practice.

I have been in private practice since 2004. I received an MSW from Simmons College School of Social Work. Following graduate training, I completed two specialized fellowship training programs in young adult development and mental health at McCosh Health Center at Princeton University and at Harvard University Mental Health Center.

After completing undergraduate studies in Art History at McGill University, I worked in the arts for ten years. During this time I was interested in understating the human experience through artistic expression intimately linked to my study of art history and creative pursuits in street scene photography and the book arts. This experience has deepened and enriched my psychotherapy practice in nurturing creativity as a source for healing and expression. As well, my study of Buddhist psychology and regular meditation practice inform my perspective and practice. I am an advocate for social justice, committed to a life long journey of cultivating understanding of allyship and nurturing an inclusive and welcoming practice.
