Psychotherapy & Meditation

Psychotherapy services

I provide a private, nonjudgemental environment in which to explore life's most difficult challenges: major life changes, grief, loss, feeling alone or disconnected from others, relationship conflicts, parenting, feeling a loss of purpose, direction or possibility, unmanageable anxiety, illness, depression, identity confusion, job stress or anything that has effected your sense of wellbeing or equilibrium.

My practice is grounded in psychodynamic relational psychotherapy though my approach is holistic and eclectic, taking into account all aspects of wellbeing, the emotional, physical, spiritual, relational, creative and integrating a variety of other treatment approaches including mindfulness practices, breath work and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Together we explore the issue and work to improve your current functioning while addressing the obstacles to a meaningful, balanced and fulfilling life.

Consulting

I am available to individuals, groups and organizations for consultation and collaboration regarding mental health issues, youth advocacy and leadership and social justice issues.

Examples of the consulting work I have engaged in include collaborating with a local performing arts dance company integrating dance and spoken word with mental health education, designing a holistic mind/body workshop on managing stress for a local ballet school, serving as a member of the mental health subcommittee for the East Greenwich Public Schools, chairing a community based coalition initiating health and wellness education and prevention programs, youth advocacy and leadership as well as working to develop restorative practice and nonviolence workshops for youth and communities.
